The Felis is a light class technological mech that specializes in close range combat. It is armed with a deadly melee claws and jaws as well as a directional jump coil.

Mech is part of a dual package with the Infected Felis.

History

Manufactured by trained, genetically-altered housecats in a secret factory on the third moon of the planet Silvestris IX, the Rivtech F3715, or 'Felis' recon mech was considered radical at the time of its release due to being the only known production heavy recon class mech to utilize a melee-only design strategy. Four paws armed with armor shredding tiberium-carbide blades support a skeletal frame covered by specialized armor plating, exceedingly resistant to melee counterattack - the mineral composition of which remains a trade secret, though it has been discovered to contain at least 47 trace rare and extraterrestrial bonded elements including an element only found in sharks. A set of four curved, armor piercing fangs and a bladed tail complement its fearsome close-quarters armament, while a revolutionary directional-pounce core allows the speedy chassis to leap and pounce like the predatory cats that it was built to emulate.

Description

Small, fast, and deadly, this cat-inspired melee mech does pretty much what you'd expect from a giant robot shaped like a cat; it runs fast, pounces far, and claws mech armor to shreds like a housecat with a new curtain.

Tactics

For its size the Felis has amazing melee damage output; nothing else its size can come close, however this comes at the cost of being hardlocked. To use the directional jump coil hold your crouch/fly down key to charge while aiming your view in the direction you wish to pounce, then release the crouch key to leap in that direction.
