The Hades is a heavy class technological mech that specializes in close range combat. It is armed with a combination of four powerful melee blades, an EMP weapon system, and a warp core.

History

Ever since the Hades first appeared on the battlefield it has given even veteran soldiers reason to fear. It is massive, covered with deadly weapons, crackles with strange energies, and is downright scary looking; few other mechs are capable of surviving a close range fight with one, and even fewer pilots are willing to attempt such a risky endeavor.

Description

The biggest, scariest melee specialist mech there is. This mech can and will wreck everything it gets close to, and its warp core provides a powerful forward boost that allows it to cover ground very quickly.

Tactics

Dodge fire as you get close to your foe then start chopping with your blades and do not let up until somebody dies.

Lore

The "strange energy" of the Hades is in fact PulseWave energy, the same as used in Eclypse mecha. Because the properties of this new energy were mostly unknown at the time the Hades was designed, the Hades is mostly a conventional tech mech, albeit of unusual construction.

When K. Mommsen of the Weyland Advanced Weapons Institute discovered PulseWave energy's unusual interaction with the Throgg's bio-energy field, it was assumed that the Hades would be immune to infection by the Throgg as are Eclypse Mecha. However recently there have been several disturbing reports that indicate further study is called for.
