This is a laser tailored for use on the Legionnaire mech

Ever since Albert Einstein proposed the theoretical existance of the laser, mankind has pushed it further and further. It was only a matter of time before it was weaponized, and it was only a matter of time before it was weaponized to such a size so as to be used on a mech. No weapon strikes faster then a laser, the beam of high-energy photons travel at the speed of light slashing through armor and actuators.
