History

The Cerberus was designed though careful consultation with the Draconis Combine faction after their successful defense of Terra. Its eclectic combination of weaponry is a result of the Combine pilots being completely unable to decide between an assault warp melee mech and an improved hover bomber mech. In fact, deep cover ROM agents report that the only thing the pilots could agree on was the need for "a big freakin' laser beam strapped to its head."

Description

The Cerberus is a hover mech, though bereft of a dedicated jumpjet, it can keep in the air for a good deal of time after a leap. It comes equipped with a bomb dropper with drops a bunch of explosives below the Cerberus, a laser, and a claw. The general profile of the mech is rather spikey with glowing trim.

Tactics

The mech has such an eclectic assortment of weapons it can be difficult to work up a viable attack tactic. A jumpjet is quite useful in keeping this mech airborn for greater lengths of time. One could either focus on the bomber aspects of this mech and double down on explosive payloads to splash doom upon those below them, or stack up more laser for better dog-fighting capabilities. The mech has some built in resistances to damage which increase some of its robustness, but as a hover mech it's armor is below average.

It's worth noting the Cerberus can mount the Crab's heavy laser.
