History

Agro2 is less of a mech and more of a piece of mining equipment. A pair of heavy grinding wheels chewed through the earth and rock excavating tunnels. It was pretty well armored naturally to handle whatever harshness the earth could throw at it with excavation lasers designed to slice away at the stone as needed. It was originally militia forces that turned it against incoming armor. Whoever was the first person to throw a harpoon on it was lost in the mists of time, but it certainly turned it into a fearsome piece of equipment, capable of reeling a mech into its waiting jaws where a pair of mining bits ground armor as easily as they tore through stone. Many mech pilots have referred to it as the "hungry agro" because it chews up mechs for lunch.

Description

Big tracked and capable of hauling more ass then your usual heavy, the Agro rides low with a pair of circular rotating mining drills. The Harpoon is its trademark piece of equipment, capable of pulling mechs in close so it can melee munch them.

Tactics

The Harpoon allows you to control your enemy, use it and abuse it. As long as you keep hitting them with it, they can't dodge, they can't escape, when they get in close, start drilling. When they are coming in to range, unload with any weapons you can, they can't dodge.

Trivia

  • The "Agro" mechs were designed for civilian purposes, the agro in its name stands for Agricultural mech.
  • Unlike the majority of the tech mechs, due to their civilian origins, the Agro series Mechs use diesel engines instead of nuclear reactors.
