The gatling gun is a technological hardmount that fires a sustained barrage of lead.

History

When Dr. Gatling invented the gatling gun mid 19th century AD he likely never imagined his gun would continue to see service mounted on giant robots of war. The gun's been an ancient concept that has been rehashed and reused many times over, it gets the job done of throwing a lot of lead lead into the air in a constant stream. While many mech pilots will go for a gun with better stopping power, the gatling gun does see use on pilots who need a weapon with a low foot print and load heat yield.

Use

The Gatling gun is a sustained fire gun. As long as you hold down the trigger, it will fire as repeatedly as it can. It's a projectile weapon so shots must be lead.

Other Notes

The Gatling Gun's damage per second is not very impressive, however it's low cost and heat output make it a great supplimental weapon for lighter mechs woh need to fill mount points, but don't have the slot, or heat dissipation to handle heavier weapons.
