This is one of the Akuma's strongsuit weapons. You want to keep this, and build around it. It's capable of a high DPS and it's easy to get repeat hits on slow moving ground targets. These missiles will rip up any slow moving mech you keep sustained fire on. Against air targets they aren't so hot since they require a direct hit. The [[Akuma Cannon]]s naturally supliment this weapon with their own AoE fire. |

History
The Akuma was designed around an explosive payload. Original design specs called for seeking ordinance coupled with long-range high-yield dumb-fire missile pods on the shoulders to suppliment their usefulness on ground-based targets. While technical snafus delayed and ultimatedly forced the seeking ordinance to be replaced with the Bluebolt Laser. The distinctive shoulder-pod ammo kept its place on the Akuma. The missile rack holds a large stockpile of ordinance which is loaded into the 3 launch tubes between trigger pulls. Unmodified models can hold up to 120 missiles. The squids got a long burn time giving them extended range, however the lack of guidance leaves their effective range up to the skill of the pilot and the mobility of the target. The large explosive payloads though ensure like horeshoes, almost counts.
Use
The Squids are a semi-automatic cluster dumbfired weapon. Tapping fire will cause three missiles to fire in sequence. On impact with a mech or any solid surface the squids explode dealing splash damage to their target or anything around it.
Other Notes
This is one of the Akuma's strongsuit weapons. You want to keep this, and build around it. It's capable of a high DPS and it's easy to get repeat hits on slow moving ground targets. These missiles will rip up any slow moving mech you keep sustained fire on. Against air targets they aren't so hot since they require a direct hit. At short to mid ranges this melds real well with the White Noise's Hail Clusters. Both weapons deal a whole lot of splash damage, allowing you to create broad areas of AoE abuse. The Akuma Cannons naturally supliment this weapon with their own AoE fire.
