The Heavy Particle Projector Cannon, or Heavy PPC is an energy cannon capable of splash.
History
The Particle Projector Cannon was an advancement in mech armaments that allowed one to hurl a high energy blob of ions at a target. The ions in impact deal a significant amount of kinetic as well as heat damage, battering and vaporizing the armor of anything on the recieving end, the blast also leaves the affected region charged causing electrical damage. Shots from this weapon tend to scatter their ion packet on impact, causing a fair sized splash of rather hazardous energy on impact. All and all, the PPC is a well respected and used weapon on the battlefield.
Use
The Heavy PPC is fired like most basic weapons. It is a single shot energy weapon with no ammo consumption.
Other Notes
Aim for your opponents feet, that way if you miss the projectiles will impact the ground and explode, dealing splash damage. Catching your enemy near a solid surface like a wall makes it rather easy to do damage with the Heavy PPC.
This version has two versions. Both versions have the same attributes, the earlier version fires red shots and uses phantom collision objects to detect the AoE portion of the attack, the other version has blue particle blasts and uses sensors to detect the AoE portion of the attack. The later sensor based version of this beam is more responsive on hit detection. Currently the vendors shell Version 2, the Wastelander comes packed with Version 1.
