Description
The conscript is a large bulky mech with twin howitzer cannons and shoulder mounted mortars. The default equipment package focuses mainly on arched shots that explode on impact, allowing a pilot to cause a large number of explosions on the feet of any hapless pilot caught on the ground near the conscript. It's tracked propulsion means trying to jump with a conscript is generally a bad idea, though to make up for it it's got superior speed compared to other assault mechs of similar loadpoints and armor.
Tactics
The conscript can deliver heavy amounts of splash damage. However, since the mortars got a slower projectile speed they will fall to the ground at a closer range then the howitzer shots. So, in order to connect with all your attacks you need to shoot someone at closet ranges to get your maximum damage. To make up for this, the conscript's default weaponry loadout has a higher damage potential then a Rhino's. The gatling guns have real high projectile velocity, making it easy to hit far off targets. While they may have poor damage compared to the other weapons, the gatlings give you a ranged threat that can keep air targets from getting free reign over you.
You want to keep a conscript at arms length and you want to engage it at elevation. Don't let it shell you, don't let it catch you in its splash radius, its salvos HURT.
