The Barbarian's Dual Mortars are a close range lob weapon. Their advantages are not only their considerable damage, but also their predictable range. This allows the pilot to target opponents regardless of elevation. While the arc of the projectiles travel is quite short, it continues to follow the arc regardless of height. This means that the weapon is able to reach further distances when firing at targets below the mech. For this reason firing from elevated positions is highly advantageous to the Barbarian. | |||
Upon impact with anything solid, the mortars detonate in a small AOE. The weapon fires two rounds per shot each creating an AOE. Hitting both will apply substantial damage to the target. | |||
