The Ant Flamer is a set of pec mounted flame throwers for the Fire Ant.
History
The Ant flamers are a light weight high yield flamer type weapon. It vents gases of immense heats at the target, crippling the mech's ability to dissipate heat and even melting armor with prolonged exposure. The flamers on the Fire Ant are particularly potent, carrying a stronger payload then conventional flamers, however the power comes at a cost, these things are more likely to overheat the firer. A pilot who can manage the heat buildup while keeping the pressure on will find these weapons are quite capable of crippling a wide variety of mechs. Against the Throgg, these things can make a fair argument against close quarters combat.
