The autocannon or AC is an iconic piece of hardware in mech combat that focuses on rapid fire abuse.
History
The autocannon has always been a solid staple of mech warfare. It's a gun designed to quickly and repeatedly fire a barrage of shells at the target. Generally speaking most ACs fire aromr piercing explosive rounds that do a great deal of damage to anything on the recieving end. Low footprint and heat are always a winner with this armament, the only thing pilots need to watch out for is their ammo gauge and using this weapon in close quarters.
Use
The AC is a continous fire weapon. Hold down the trigger and it will fire bursts of four shots whenever it is capable of doing so.
Other Notes
Aim for the feet, surrounding the enemy in a barrage of hard-to-evade explosions. If the mech is airborne then fill the landing spot with a pile of explosions. Careful at point blank ranges, those explosions be just as deadly to you. This is a great piece of eqiupment for a Legionnaire that compliments its hard-mounted ACs.
