The Minotaur is a MCM tank rare tech tank mech that is incredibly hardy but with some limited upwards mobility.

History

The Ivan is the next in a line of super-tanks configured to handle omni-mech equipment by Smithson and Mark Guild of Engineers. The Ivan was built to be a versatile heavy weapons platform with two possible turret configurations. The first is the Coilgun Turret, it feeds a constant stream of projectiles into a magnetic tube designed to shatter on impact, dealing connecting damage to anything near where the pilot aims in a constant stream of destruction. Other main turret option is the Super Rail Cannon. The super rail cannon takes the basic concept of a rail gun and pushes it to the limit. A rail gun is two electrified rails accross which a conductive slug is laid. The resulting magnetic force launches the slug at high velocity. High strength materials and high power capacitors allow the Ivan's rail system to fire an ultra-high-density slug at some extreme forces. The resultant shot can actually penetrate through some walls and even mechs to score multiple possible hits or strike targets through cover. Throw in a pair of machineguns to lay down some suppressive fire and you have a decent all-round assault platform.

Description

The Ivan is an ultra large tank sporting a large turret which is optionally either a rail gun or a coil gun. The rail is a large single cannon, the coil gun is a pair of smaller cannons. The ivan also features pair of machinegun mounts that use the lower arm slot. The overall build of the tank is bulky and low to the ground.

Tactics

The Ivan delivers high speed accurate hard hitting shots which allow it to threaten people even at long ranges. The Rail gun can penetrate cover at the cost of some damage. The coil guns are rapid fire, allowing you to press a threat, particularly against airborne targets with no cover. The submachine guns fit to a rarely used lower arm slot position making them a good complimentary weapon that plays nice with a wide variety of other armaments.

Against the Ivan remember that while it can get in the air, it doesn't do so well. Anything that forces it across bad terrain and jumping will put it at a disadvantage.
