This is referred to as the triple heat sink in a lot of places, but this actually gives quadruple cooling compared to a single heat sink.

A heat sink is a utility that helps manage heat disspation on mecha.

Use

A heatsink is completely passive. You just need it equipped to gain its benefit. It will add it's listed fuel cost to your heat dissipation ability. It actually has no fuel will never wear out or otherwise stop working unless it's destroyed via a critical hit.

Other Notes

Heat sinks cost one more point then their heat dissipation factor. Therefore, you get more bang per buck for equipping a single large one over multiple smaller ones.
