Since the dawn of Civilization, Mankind has created tools, machines and systems in order to solve problems and achieve goals. The human species' use of technology began with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools. The prehistorical discovery of the ability to control fire increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans in traveling in and controlling their environment. Most recent technology includes interstellar travel, artificial intelligence and nanotechnology.

However not all technology has been used for peaceful purposes. Around 250 BGS (Before Galactic Sovereignty) the engineers of Terran Hegemony pioneered the creation of the first industrial and battlemechs including the development of massive fleets of jumpships and warships. The Hegemony eventually dominated Inner Sphere politics, and did so for 400 years. It was impetus by the Terran Hegemony that lead to the formation of the Star League and mankind's "Golden Age".

Tech Mechs have all around good damage output and armor with multiple optional components and specialized mechs.
