Note: This utility is listed in the database with the typo Ares Sheild.
The ares shield is a utility only available on select mechs as a hardmount. It allows a pilot to actively reduse damage.
Use
To use an Ares shield, crouch. Doing so causes the shield to activate and the mech will take half damage from all incoming attacks while it is active. Keeping it active drains its fuel reserves.
